Nehemiah's Prayer

When Nehemiah hears from his brother about the physical and spiritual condition of Jerusalem and the people of God, it moves him to a commitment of prayer and lamentation. He is both patient and persistent in prayer and fasting until his opportunity to speak to the king arrives. We must follow Nehemiah's example of confessing our sin, repenting before the Lord, and returning to Him, for He is our redeemer and God.
